BASIC FOUNDATION GENERAL DENTISTRY WORKSHOP

Startup General Dentistry workshop is an exclusive programme conducted at ACDE in India which enables a Dentist to begin their dental career with confidence & enriches the practicing dentist in their clinical skills.

Programme Highlights:

• It is the amalgamation of multi-department works to a single chair uni-dentist expertise.
• Enables a dentist to expertise in all basics and routine treatment that is carried out in day to day dental practice.
• Enables a dentist to diagnose and treatment planning of all the advanced treatment ie orthodontics, Implants, FMR and major surgical procedures.
• Gives an edge to a young dentist to begin their own dental practice.
• Along with dental treatment skills it gives an opportunity to the participant to build-up practice management skills as well which is generally neglected in our dental schools but it has been given much importance at ACDE Academy as this particular aspect has a major role in achieving higher levels of practice.

Programme Content:

• All the treatment modalities contains theoretical orientation alongwith Hands-on practice.
• All the treatment would be performed on models. Once the participants and subject expertise is confident and satisfied then patient are allotted.

Any State Dental Council Permanent registration certificate is mandatory to join any Mastership or Fellowship program at Acde academy.

PROSTHODONTICS

Hands on

• Manipulation of various dental materials used.
• All procedures need to be performed on extracted teeth and models.
• Basic principles of Tooth preparation of anterior and posterior teeth.
• Provisional Restorations of full coverage crown.
• Impressions & Gingival Retraction.
• Single implant impression on the models.

Clinicals

• Complete Denture and Acrylic Removable Partial Dentures.
• Minimum 10 Crown Preparations (Anteriors + Posteriors).
• Retraction Cord & Rubber base Impressions.
• FPD Cementations.
• Basics of single implant impression with open tray and close tray technique.

ENDODONTICS

Hands on

• All procedures need to be performed on extracted teeth and models.
• Composite fillings on extracted teeth.
• Access opening.
• Biomechanical preparation (Manual & Rotary).
• Obturation.
• Use of different rotary file systems.
• Post space preparation for post placement.
• Rubber dam placement.

Clinicals

• Minimum 10 composite and GIC fillings.
• Minimum 10 Root Canal Treatments (Anteriors + Posteriors).
• Post and core - Fiber post.
• Few Re-RCT Cases.
• Usage of various file systems on patients.
• Post and core.
• Rubber dam placement in patients before starting procedures.

ORAL SURGERY

Hands on

• Suturing Techniques.
• Incision Flap design and for 3rd molar extraction.
• Principles of exodontia.

Clinicals

• Basics of various nerve blocks and infiltration.
• Basics of preprosthetic minor surgeries: Alveoloplasty.
• Extractions.
• Surgical extractions / Disimpactions.
• Suturing.
• Handling of medical emergencies and medications.

PEDODONTICS

Hands on

• Fabrication of space maintainers on models.

Clinicals

• Deciduous teeth extractions.
• Pulpectomy.
• Space maintainers.
• Pediatric conservative dentistry.
• Behaviour management.

PERIODONTICS

Hands on

• Use of lasers on Chicken legs.
• Crown lengthening with osteoctomy on models.

Clinicals

• Crown Lengthening with lasers.
• Depigmentation and Frenectomy with lasers.
• Overview about grafts and grafting procedures.

Orthodontics

• Brief overview of Basics, Diagnosis and Treatment planning of orthodontic treatment.

Oral medicine and Radiology

• Basics and introduction to various diagnostic aids used in our clinical practice.
• Learning of CBCT.

Implants

• Basics of dental implants

Cosmetic dentistry

• Introduction to bleaching procedures and smile designing.
• Tooth Jewels (Participants can convince their patients for tooth jewels, ACDE will provide the Tooth Jewel).

Dental Photography and Clinic Management Skills

Participants will learn essential dental photography techniques and gain practical experience in clinic management and financial management skills.
